Funded Kinder

For 3 to 4-Year-Old Little Learners

STEM

Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program uses a play-based and open-ended investigation method of teaching, which encourages children to explore the world around them, how it works and their role within it. All children are encouraged to develop problem solving skills and actively participate, which develops strong foundations for confidence in these traditionally male-dominated fields.

Creative Arts

Our Arts program is delivered in our stunning, purpose-built atelier by our artist in residence. The unique curriculum allows children to explore varying methods of self-expression, communication and interpretation, as well as promoting creativity, empathy, understanding and physical dexterity. Through this program children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums, such as clay, charcoal, paint, wire and 3D modelling, improving fine motor dexterity ahead of school and allowing children express their feelings before they have words for their complex emotions.

Kodály Music Program

Developed by the Hungarian composer, Zoltan Kodály, the Kodály concept is based on the premise that music facilitates emotional, spiritual and intellectual development. The Kodály concept utilises the voice, as the most accessible instrument, to teach young children about musical elements and develop their musical ear, before introducing other instruments. Our specialised early childhood music teacher understands the importance and benefits of prompting developing speech, vocabulary, listening and memory skills through structured and planned music lessons.

Jolly Phonics

This language program is incorporated into the daily learning for children. This program is widely recognised and used to teach children to read and write using synthetic phonics. The program is multi-sensory and engaging offering stories actions and songs. The program offers systematic teaching of phonics, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Children will first learn the sounds of the letters, letter formation and then move to blend the letters to form words. Jolly Phonics was developed by teachers for teachers!

Natural Environment & Sustainability

We believe that we have the responsibility to make sustainable education a part of everyday practices, rather than a topic or theme to consider for a short time. We engage children in learning about sustainable living concepts, including our built-in vegetable gardens, rainwater tanks and our weather mobile, as well as daily recycling, composting, and resource conservation.
